Bag and purse delights

£24.00 from Debenhams with 20% off

Finally have a decent back for my work laptop that's also shower proof. Before I used to have everyday cotton tote bags, these are fine but with the weight they tend to dig into your shoulder a little. This lovely bag by Kangol looks great and fits everything I need perfectly. Even an added extra of a pocket on the front, along with a zipper and phone pockets on the inside.

£16.00 from Debenhams with 20% off

After getting my hands on that lovely Mantaray bag the other week, I thought it would be nice to go out with the old and in with the new of the purse side of things. Current purse is a lovely multicoloured striped one that I picked up in the Paperchase sale for about £3 many years ago. The zipper on the inner coin section keeps coming off, so I thought it would be wise to upgrade.

Even though this purse has many more card sections, I still think I might have to get another little card holder for all of those store bonus cards!

Floral Season

One of those lunchtime walks again, this time I popped into Apricot. I got distracted by a floral pencil dress in the window which unfortunately did not suit me when I tried it on. I did pick up this little skater dress ready for the (hopefully) warmer months for £15 in the sale.

Here are some more floral pieces from Apricot I liked.

Tea, Battenberg and a Jammie Dodger

A year or so ago my lovely friend Dawn gave me this lovely set of earrings
created by Layla Amber
I wanted to share them with you and point you towards her amazing website.

I think I might be adding these two to my shopping basket real soon.
£4.00 for the Custard Creams and £5.50 for the Acorns.
Fantastic prices for handmade jewellery!

Earring Tree

After purchasing another IKEA wooden draw unit for my jewellery in the bedroom, I didn't want to just put all of my earrings in a mess in one of the draws. So I jumped onto eBay and came across this lovely vintage looking earring tree.
Great deal at £5.99 with 85p P&P

If you're looking for something simular then simply type in 'Earring tree' into eBay and your find many different designs.

It's a wrap

I had 3 frames that I bought from IKEA a few years ago, two of which had been poorly put on the wall in the bedroom in my current flat. They had some Penguin books wrapping paper in them, but I felt like a change and I also wanted to put all three back up.

Whilst plodding around town today I got distracted by the huge SALE signs in Paperchase and popped in for a gander. I came across some lovely sheets of wrapping paper, of which I thought would be perfect for the frames.

Here you have it, some fun on the wall.
Small cost of £3.75 for the papers, with lots to spare for wrapping and card making.

Navy & White New Look days

Thanks to a £15 New Look birthday voucher and a last minute 25% off voucher found on VouchersCodes, this lunchtime I managed to find some gems.

£2.99 Each

£2.99

£2.99

So all together it came to £26.95, minus the 25% voucher making it £20.21 and finally minus the £15 gift voucher, this lovely lot cost me the grand total of:
£5.21

Initial & Heart Post Earrings

Cute 'H' and Heart shaped earrings from the Urban Outfitters sale.
Were £8 but I picked them up for half price.

I also really like the design of the small paper bags they have for jewellery now.

Mantaray Cream Canvas Leaf Printed Bag

I've been looking for a new bag for a while, it seems my search came to it's end today. I'm a messenger style person, I actually cannot stand having a bag on my shoulder as I don't feel it's secure enough. When it comes to choosing a bag I look for three things, probably the same 3 things most women do actually.

1. Design and colour
2. Amount of compartments/pockets on the inside
3. Strap length and fastening

Price is £29 but I got it for £23.10 with the 20% off promotion.
Click here to see the bag on the Debenhams website.

Sorting my craft pile

Due to the vast amounts of craft bits and bobs I've collected over the last year or so, I thought it was about time I sorted it all out properly instead of putting it in random boxes. As usual, one trip to IKEA solved my problems and I purchased this MOPPE Mini chest of draws.

Obviously being plain was a little boring to me, so I thought I would get all creative and paint the draws. I headed over to Homebase and bought some Dulux Feature wall tester pots (50ml pots, 3 for £1 bargain!). The plan was to paint the frame of the chest and then the draws, but then I decided to just paint the front of the draws. And this is the result, simple, cheap and adds that little extra.

Powerful, Motivated & Independant

Bought for me as a Birthday present from Lindsay.
I think the description is pretty spot on, well, maybe not always Powerful...

Uttam Boutique Floral Tea Dress

I got this beautiful floral tea dress in Uttam, Bath. At the time it was priced at £45 but had 20% off. I had tried it on before, but this time with the discount it was obviously more appealing.
Uttam still sell this dress, you can get it for an even better price of £20 from their website.

Cult of Superdry

Jerry finally bought himself a Superdry coat just before Christmas, I'll admit they look pretty good on the guys. I was walking around town after work and popped into the store 'Cult', which is the discount shop for the main Superdry store. I had a little look around, not a lot to see and then I came across this Superdry Technical Windcheater jacket. Normally priced at £59.99, but being the discount store it was a more desirable price of £35.99.

I still find the multiple zips a weird thing, but it does what it says it does and keeps the wind out. A great coat for those jeans and t-shirt days.

Heart Drop Earrings

Bought in the Republic sale for £1.
Shame that they are going into administration. I wasn't a massive fan of that store as I found the clothes sizes were a little all over the place.
